There are 2 branches, one in Tokyo and the original in Kyoto. The 1* restaurant in Kyoto serves Japanese/French fusion food and this branch is where the chef is stationed. There is only a 10 course ¥14,000 tasting menu is available.
Chef Masayasu Yonemura style of French-Japanese fusion food is very light and he marries the delicate favours very well. It is a small restaurant with probably 10 counter seats and 1 or 2 private rooms upstairs. The set up is pretty much like the sushi counter style where you sit at the counter facing the chef and they interact with you.
This was definitely one of the food highlight of our trip.
